Research suggests that integrative care models can improve patient outcomes, satisfaction, and quality of life, particularly in chronic conditions and complex cases. However, access remains a major barrier. Naturopathic and integrative services are often not covered by insurance and require out-of-pocket payment. Typical costs may include: Initial visits: $300–$450+ Follow-ups: $150–$250+ Lab testing: $150–$500+ Therapeutics/supplements: $50–$300+ per month For many individuals, especially those managing chronic or unresolved health concerns, these costs are prohibitive. This is the gap we aim to address. The Tandem Medical Initiative Patient Access Scholarship was created to expand access to collaborative, holistic care by helping offset the cost of services for individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford them.
